JIAMCATT is the "International Annual Meeting on Computer-Assisted Translation and Terminology". It was established as a IAMLADP task force and provides its participants with a forum for debate, exchange of expertise and cooperation in the fields of computer-assisted terminology and translation, interpretation and documentation retrieval. The theme will be “The Shape of Things to Come: How technology and innovation are transforming the language professions” Jochen Hummel, Coreon CEO, will set the stage with his opening keynote “Sunsetting CAT” Although NMT is approaching human parity the algorithms have no real understanding of text. Adding human knowledge improves the processes before and after machine translation decisively. In concert with Multilingual Knowledge Systems NMT becomes a game changer.
